Everything was perfect.
The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Room was very clean and the beds comfy.
The food was 5 star. Generous portions and first class quality.

Amazing Little place we came on a coach trip and have been looked after very well. Food was lovely with very generous portions!! Amazing views and a lovely location to escape too..amazing Twixmas Break

Stayed here in our campervan no charge to stay if your eating in the pub which was very good very friendly staff excellent location for walking and amazing view's will definitely return in the summer

We stayed in our campervan in the car park overlooking the most beautiful scenery. We had drinks and a meal on the evening and breakfast the following morning. The food, service and staff all amazing. We will definitely revisit!

Such an incredible stay! Loved the place, loved the service. All the workers were so kind and helpful, the food was delicious, the rooms were so nice, the place in its entirety was so great! Would absolutely recommend the White Horse Inn to anyone looking for a place to stay in middle/northeastern England! :)

During my recent stay at the White Horse Farm Inn while working in the small village of Rosedale Abbey, I was profoundly impressed by the warm welcome I received in a place that was unfamiliar to me. Despite working long hours and returning late, often after the restaurant had closed, the team at the White Horse consistently ensured that I was well taken care of and had access to meals.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism. Your dedication to your guests is commendable, and I am truly appreciative of the support you provided during my stay.

The food was amazing, and the hospitality from the manager Stuart and Emily was tremendous. They are such welcoming and friendly people. On our next trip, the family will be keeping the log fire on in the evening, making the building feel warm and cozy.

I had the absolute pleasure of stopping by The White Horse Farm for a meal while in the area for work. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Stuart (the manager), whose friendly demeanour and constant smile made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, and I will most definitely return whenever I’m in the area again.

I loved this place with its traditional building and fantastic views across Rosedale from the bottom of Chimney Bank. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the food. The buffet breakfast is great.

Called for food, was told we could order at 5:30. Went to order and was told chef wasn't there yet, and the barman would come and take our order as soon as possible, an hour later we still hadn't ordered food. Appalling service, probably down to lack of staff!

Great food and staff,the only let down was the bathroom door needed the hinge fixing,what made it very hard to close and the shower was unusable because it went from boiling hot to freezing cold as you used it.

We stayed one night in what was billed as a 'superior double' - laughable! The bed basically filled the pokey little room so there was nowhere to sit other than on the bed! The mattress must have been at least 20 years old and was very uncomfortable, creaky and springy. The WiFi in the room was completely none existent. Unfortunately, the windows in the room are sealed shut so there was no fresh air available, on what was one of the hottest nights of the year. They did provide us with a fan after asking, but it did little to help the situation. The breakfast was fairly decent with a good & varied choice, but the evening meal was very disappointing, and very expensive considering. I've been visiting this place when in the area for around 30 years, but this was the first time I had ever stayed over. It has to be said that the place is in a wonderful setting with fantastic views over Rosedale, but my most recent experience was a big disappointment. All things considered, I would probably call in for a drink again when in the area, as I love sitting outside sipping a pint overlooking that wonderful view. However it is highly unlikely that I would eat there again and I seriously doubt that I would stay there again without checking out the room & facilities first.

A very mixed review staff were really helpful, rooms well equipped and spacious the bed really comfortable. The down side was the cleanliness my room was dusty and had dead spiders in cobwebs on the window. Carpets dirty tile in bathroom and window cracked. The curtains were thin and did not keep out the morning light so was not a restful sleep. Could not keep window open had to use a towel. In the book were other complaints about cleanliness. Breakfast was luke warm but coffee was great. Very remote would not go back or recommend.

Staff friendly and great all round service good to talk to and have a laugh with.
Even tho they seemed tierd this did not effect the service or attitude in anyway.
Menu was very limited but food was nice.
The beers were on point couldn't fault and the room was clean and tidy shame the kettle didn't work but nothing a new fuse couldn't solve.
Would I recommend to people yes would we go again yes ideal location beautiful views great staff.

Lovely country pub, very generous portions and a good vegetarian selection of meals. Made even more special by incredible views (we even saw a barn owl hunting over a nearby field!) and a very attentive and friendly barman.

Definitely deserves to be more than a 2 star hotel. The rooms are well equipped with refreshments and toiletries. Lovely comfy beds, had two great nights sleep. The staff are lovely especially Stuart and the lad that works behind the bar! The food is absolutely spot on. The pizzas and burgers are a must! The breakfast is lovely, quality meat. The outside area is lovely to sit and relax with a pint after a walk! And the views are amazing!

My friends and I visited this pub for a cheap and cheerful meal. Despite being understaffed the service was great. Stuart was kind, attentive and good fun. There was a good range of drinks both soft and alcoholic. Lots of the food was available gluten free which is what we needed. Portion sizes were perfect with lots of gravy and extra veg. It took a while to get to us but we were happy playing pool in the back room, staff offered us board games and the building has so much character. Dogs are welcome and the scenery/walks surrounding areas stunning. Good wholesome pub with no nonsense grub.
